Season of Jacaranda 雨期を告げる花
Light rain season begins.
The flower of this season Jacaranda is in full bloom.
But at the same time, it means the season of feather ants.
They are edible and called KunbiKunbi in Swahili.
Hundreds of them gather in the light, disturbing dinner.
この時期にだけ咲く花、ジャカランダ。
ひと月も持たずに散ってしまう紫色の花は、さしづめ日本の桜か。
もう一つの名物の羽蟻は雨とともに大量に現れ、止んだ途端にいなくなる。
貴重な蛋白源というが、皿にグラスに飛び込んでくる迷惑な客。
